Having already hit the skids, Europe’s top economy may soon be about to barrel headlong into the crash barrier.

Beyond the nasty headline figure that showed a 2.5% first quarter GDP contraction for the Eurozone economy was a more stomach-churning number.

While investors worry about missing out on stock market rallies, there’s another equally important event: Buying on stock market dips.

While the recent rally has been impressive, markets never move in straight lines for long. And given that we’re still 80% below the highs, we still have plenty of room to run.

Flu Facts… And Some Much-Needed Perspective

Last week, I wrote about a correction in the market that seemed well overdue. And after last Monday’s sharp sell-off, which was almost 290 points in the Dow, I thought that correction was underway.

Then with the indexes opening lower last Tuesday morning, it seemed flat-out inevitable that a correction had begun…

…For the first ten minutes. After that, they went right back up.

A few years ago, it was SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome). Then came bird flu, which spread throughout Asia.

Now, several parts of the world are in the grips of another nasty disease - this time, born in Mexico: Swine flu.
