Is Vonage Calling Investors Back?

Is Vonage calling investors back to take a look at the stock again? Significant operating improvements, a much better balance sheet, and a more rational marketing strategy have turned this once-hated stock into a sustainable business. But is it cheap enough to invest today?

G-20 sparks a rally as the optimism gives investors confidence. I am never one to say no to a profit, but the continuation of the move higher after the two day pullback is suspect. The foundation is an improving economy and the belief the bottom is established. I am not going to argue either of those points.

Airspan Networks Inc. provides WiMAX-based broadband wireless access networks worldwide. The company was recently selected for some of the world’s largest mobile WiMAX deployments for more than 100 commercial projects around the world. The company announced that the Saudi Arabian carrier, Saudi Telecom, has successfully deployed WiMAX services using Airspan’s HiperMAX base stations.

All that said, the move by China shows the pitfalls of investing in a company with a government shareholder, no matter how big or small that stake is.

Governments, to put it mildly, aren't passive shareholders. If they want to merge companies together, they're usually successful in their quest no matter what the other investors think.
