Investment gurus are asset or fund managers with big amounts of cash under management. They became popular by big returns and spectacular investment strategies. I talk about investors like George Soros and Warren Buffett. They all have one thing in common: The average return beats the market and if they invest, the market follows.

I made a screen of the biggest stock buys from 49 super investors over the recent six month and ranked them in my 100 best guru buy list. They all bought 594 stocks within the past half year.

The top stocks are now Berkshire Hathaway and Google. Berkshire was bought by 16 stock market professionals and Google by 15. Half of the top ten buys came from the technology sector. Investors still love this field because of the high growth potential and strong cash flows. But technology stocks are no big dividend payer. That’s why I did not invest much of my private wealth in technology stocks. That’s a bad strategy because if you want to have growth, the sector is one of the safest bets for the time being.

Monthly High Yield Shares Researched By “long-term-investments.blogspot.com”. High yield investing is popular especially just before the next dividend payout. In order to receive the next dividend, investors must take a look at the ex-dividend date. If you own a share or fund before this day, you will receive the next dividend. I screened interesting high yielding stocks going ex-dividend within the next month – November 2012. As result, we found 84 stocks with an average dividend yield of 6.18 percent. Eight stocks have a double-digit yield and thirty-three a buy or better recommendation.

Chips Lead Tech Today

Posted by inthemoneystocks on May 29th, 2012

Today, the important semiconductor stocks are trading sharply higher. When the semiconductor stocks rally higher it is usually a good sign for the technology sector. The semiconductor sector is viewed by many traders as a leading indicator for the NASDAQ Composite. When the semiconductor sector lags the NASDAQ Composite it is usually a warning sign that the NASDAQ Composite will be weak in the future.

The markets are down once again, falling for the third day in a row. The SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSEARCA:SPY) is trading at $139.28, -1.15 (-0.82%). This recent rally has been a monster, blasting the SPY from $120.00 in December to the recent 52 week high of $141.83. The move has seen little to no down days and has even pushed the retail investor into full on bullish mode.
