Be careful though. Market makers can see the stop loss orders, and may shake you out of your position if they are very close to the current price action.

An order placed with a broker to sell a security when it reaches a certain price. A stop-loss order is designed to limit an investor's loss on a security position. An investor would use this type of order if he/she wanted to limit the potential price decline or loss by a particular stock.
Also known as a "stop order" or "stop-market order".
