This is something that
This is something that people have been saying for a long time. There was never much of an incentive for people to find and develop alternative energy when it was incredibly cheaper to continue with what we had. As the price for crude, coal, etc...increase, you will start to see a convergence where it makes sense to start exploring alternatives. With the rise in gas prices, you have seen a push into ethanol, which didn't make sense with the price of gasoline in the mid $1 range. Hopefully this is the incentive that we need as a nation to explore cleaner energy.
