Doing the rounds of news sites this morning was a depressing state of affairs. Global meltdown and general mayhem was the order of the day as if the meteorite of the credit crunch was about to wipe out all the financials and send them the way of the dinosaurs.

For us, as traders, markets moving in any direction is a good trade. Up or down, it is not a problem, however, I would rather them be going up, oil be cheap and my mornings started with comical predictions of the financial press in a bull market. But I guess until those days return I will have to suffer the doom merchants.

Good news, however, is there are still some people with a glint in the eye for movement upwards.
