The shares of IBM have been knocked down in line with the S&P 500 over the course of this brutal market year. Yet, Ockham Research sees increasing appeal in the shares of "Big Blue". Selling at a discount to its historic price-to-sales and price-to-cash flow metrics, IBM, with its broad geographical diversification and its blue chip image, represents the kind of quality stock that should attract nervous investors in a rough market.
