Southwall Technologies, Inc. (SWTX.OB) Continues To Increase Sales
Southwall Technologies, Inc., maker of energy-saving films and glass products, added to its string of increased sales and earnings reports today, with its announcement of third quarter 2008 results. Revenue for the quarter was $10.6 million, up 15% over third quarter 2007 figures. In addition, revenues were up a full 20% for the first nine months of 2008 over the same period last year.

Solar Thin Films (SLTN.OB) Schedules Delivery and Installation of Manufacturing Plant for Grupo Unisolar, S.A
Solar Thin Films, Inc. has received $3.6 million from Grupo Unisolar S.A., as part of a $12.3 million contract, to build a 5MW turnkey amorphous silicon (a-Si) module thin-film photovoltaic manufacturing plant in Spain. With this deposit, Solar Thin Films has moved beyond the planning stage and has begun to fulfill the contract.

Satcon (SATC) Increases Delivery for Solar Power Grid
Satcon’s PowerGate Plus 500 kW commercial solar photovoltaic inverters will provide 20MW for the European utility, Energy 21. Installations for large-scale plants in the Czech Republic and Slovakia are set to begin in Oct. 2008 and continue through the spring of 2009. The move is part of a new agreement with CE Solar, the project development arm of Energy 21.
