A question I encounter often is, what are the correlations between your trading and other commodity trading advisors. More so…what makes you different.. Both are great questions..First in my opinion out of the thousands of commodity trading advisors, I would only consider diversified trend followers. This cuts out the options strategies that I have seen too often blow up.

The question is it possible to generate 15% long term in commodity trading? The answer is yes and no. What is more surprising for some ( inexperienced commodity trading investors)…this is not enough. They want crazy double or triple digit profits without realizing they are increasing the potential for the same in draw downs.

So many times I hear clients when in a draw down say ,there are changes going on in commodity trading and trend following. The commodity markets are changing. They are not like what they used to be. Trend following is dead. This draw down proves trend following is dead.
Well I will give you my 15 years plus of experience and counter these thoughts. First of all, nothing ever changes

If you have read Market Wizards you would have read about Ed Seykota and his legendary commodity trading & trend following. Ed Seykota started trading commodities at relatively a young age.To put into perspective Seykota’s commodity trading results are in the ball park of 60% per annum from 1990 to 2000. He never advertised his services and was very selective in taking clients on.
