IMAX Corporation (NYSE:IMAX) announced that the action drama Real Steel will open in 270 domestic IMAX(R) theatres Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, simultaneous with its North American wide release. The film will also open in at least 100 IMAX theatres internationally, with 62 theatres releasing day-and-date. Additional international playdates are expected to be confirmed in the coming weeks.
