The need for more advanced energy storage devices is becoming more and more apparent as alternative energy sources proliferate. The power generated by solar or other alternative energy sources needs to be stored efficiently. The old reliable lead-acid battery is still the battery of choice and provides the lion’s share of the work-load, but eventually other types of batteries will be needed. Until that time, lead-acid batteries will continue to hold their charge so industries and consumers can go about their business.
